All said and done should be under 5k I can't wait to see it on. If it goes on without a problem it will be worth every penny.

If I recall the helm on your boat it should be an easy job. All of the panels on yours are flat. It may not be the cheapest way but the easiest thing for you if in the Winter time of coarse pull the dash panels and sent them out to be fabricated out of what ever finish you have in mind. You can silk screen all the label under clear coat and the boat would look like new. This is what I did on my last boat and it still looks great 6 years later. when I did that job I also repacled every gauge rocker switch and wire harness but it was needed on that boat. I'll post a picture of that job when I get to my computer (not my phone).

Thanks for the compliment.

I could only find this one picture but I'll say this it looked better in person.

I ordered the panels from a company in FL. If I recall the panels were about $1500 but considering all the other work done, that was the cheap parts.

Almost done I need to add a couple of support to stiffen up the sides of the platform but the hard part is done. Here are a few pictures.

It should but done in a few days but I will need to make the support so it could take a little longer.

Dave,

We are looking to do a similar upgrade for our boat. Can you tell me where you ordered your swim platform from and how long the lead time was? How wide did you go on the platform; it looks great on the boat!

I used a company called swim-platform.com the owner name is Kraig he has been a pleasure to deal with and I recommend them. The platform is a little over 12' wide the bracket I had custom made they usually only supply stainless poles as supports. I had a big advantage I had both Hogan and Starry nights boat winter near me so I was able to copy the design of the factory mounts. unfortunately both boats where covered for the winter so I could trace the platform itself, that would have been a big help. When you order the platform he sends out a kit you may not be impressed with it be it's critical that you follow the instructions and trace your stern perfectly. The way the made the platform is measure the width and and depth and made a mold when they are done you use your template and cut out the contour of the your transsum it needs to be right in order to fit right. Mine due to the width was hard to trace and hence was not perfect. It wasn't hard to correct we retraced right onto the platform itself and re-cut it with a jig saw it came out fine after a little sanding it was great. Things to consider are exact location of mounts and swim ladder if I gave these a little more thought I think the boat would be in the water right now. I was so busy measuring and calculating the angles of the custom mounts I missed so of the more obvious factors to consider.
If I can be of any help feel free to PM or Email me and I will give both the contact numbers for me and the company I had build it.

Project is done, I will launch early Friday morning. I will post a few pictures once I launch. It's has been a long prep year too many projects for one year. Next year I will limit the scope of projects and relax a little.

Good Luck with Friday's launch. Did you get any pics of your revised brackets?

This project is done at least for this season I will additional mounts made when I haul the boat. I would feel better if there was less movement in the platform but it will be fine for the season.
Here are some additional photos.

Beautiful!!!

Does it drag the water much when going up on plane? Also, did you "Speed Kote" the props?

Just curious.

Bob

Nice job! A project worth doing but I can only imagine the new level of stress you have backing into your slip.
Jim

Believe it or not it still has a bit of flex leverage is a powerful thing.

No I did not speed kote the props. Most don't in the Hudson.

As for drag I have not been out for a cruise yet but I don't expect it to be an issue. Both Hogan and Starynight have the same set up from the factory and it is not an issue on their boats.

did you wire it into your bonding system???
