I'm hoping to go in shortly after Easter. It all depends on the weather. I need a couple of good days to do my clean up/wax/bottom painting/drive installation. Once that's done I'm ready to go. Thinking of doing the cockpit and cabin with the shrinkwrap on if we get a couple of decent days in early March. That will be that much less to do once it comes off. The water pumps/oil in the drives is already done, just need a decent warm day when I have nothing else going on to wheel them out of storage at my friends shop so I can paint them.
I wish I knew when....hopefully ASAP. we usually cut the shrink wrap off in mid march and try to get in by April, but might be a little delayed this year for a variety of reasons ... This season can't come soon enough though!
The boat is sitting in the spray both at a large ship yard on Cape Cod...not a bad place to ride out the winter.
It will be splashed on/about the 4th of March and brought over to Huntington for dealer prep and my survey. I will then take the boat around to my dock around April 4th. So I guess I will consider that the official start of my season.
1 week cruise, but it sort of gets in the way of prep.
I may start in March and finish in April, gotta see.
But then I go in and go to Singapore and Thailand for 2 weeks, so my season is already starting slow.
Just as well, I want the bay a chance to churn and clean if you know what I mean!
I'm goin' in by third week March regardless. Unfortunately not at Anchorage this year but got a great price/slip around the corner at Brice's in Amityville (a block from house). I'm sure I'll see everyone out there though.....
A few things to get done ?? Like what ? The new boats half the size. Sheesh. Put the fing thing in ill use it till mines fixed. I know the rules . I break it I bought it .......
