http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/16/us-navy-warship-collides-with-cargo-ship-off-coast-japan.html Damage on starboard side... pretty damning

This was a new stealth vessel disguised as a cargo ship. Must be very good stealth technology.

George

Looks like they were coming together at an acute angle as the cargo ship looks to be damaged on the port quarter. Wonder if the Navy ship thought he would pass well ahead because as Pascal says, damage on the starboard side is damning.

There should not have been another ship that close to a Navy ship loaded with weapons Somebody was not watching the store.

yeah starboard side - not good
Captain injured - perhaps trying to get to the Bridge? I would think everyone on the Bridge had time to brace

Capt. assumed command a month ago. Shortest command tour ever.

Someone's bow hits you square in the red light it's just as not good.

BTW, the M/V Iyanough, a K boat (I believe. Might be a T boat), just tried to jump a jetty in Hyannis. Hell of a day for "professional" operators.

It appears, from the pictures, destroyer took damage to radar array. I don't think "that will buff right out". Ouch.

FITZGERALD damage yesterday is within yards of where PORTER got hit in Hormuz back in 2012. They were showing that ASX CRYSTAL a green light.

This one's bad. Bad in its own right, and way worse than PORTER.

I'm flabbergasted. Prayers for seven missing.

Has anyone seen the ais footage . The cargo ship changed course 180degrees before the crash . Just saying

Rob

haven't watched it, but doesn't it take a long time for a ship of that size to do a 180?

Ah that is sad news but their families will at least have some element of closure.

No subscription so this will have to work. Thanks. I guess darkness, the odd maneuver and all of the traffic had them balled up.
