Rob, I hit the netting yesterday... Luckily no damage... But it's not just the netting, there's a big metal hook in there that I didn't see until the last second. On the way back from Liberty Landing I decided to go through Jones Inlet for a change. First I wasn't expecting to see the Meadowbrook bridge work, that was a pretty narrow section to get through. Then I get to the Goose Creek drawbridge and there's the netting... At first I thought I had room to stick to the south side of it, but then as I got closer I was afraid if I went too far over I'd hit the bridge itself since the clearance is a lot lower at the side. I had the current behind me so not a whole lot of control as I went under, and the net hit my top pretty hard. I saw the hook also but too late to do anything at that point. Got through and checked everything out, a couple marks on one of my front strataglass panels but that came off no problem with the cleaner when I got home. So luckily no issues for me, but i wouldn't go through there with a flybridge boat again until they have that fixed.
Harris, Goose Creek is the one they are supposed to tear down starting in January.
