FOWH is pleased to tell you about its plans for this year's upcoming Columbus Day Weekend (October 7, 8 and 9). A flyer describing the weekend events and activities is attached for your information. Don't worry if the flyer doesn't open, the events and activities are described in detail below.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7
Advanced Group Boat Slip Reservations***
Boats arrive all day Friday until midnight
Boats check in with dock staff to confirm pre-reserved slip assignments
Slips not taken by midnight will be released for assignment to other boaters
Slips may not be reserved for Friday or Saturday only. This is a two-night advance reservation.
***Please note that you will need to pay for the Columbus Day Buffet Dinner Gathering or After Dinner Party before you will be able to pre-reserve your slip. Detailed information is provided below.
The Pier Restaurant (Friday)
Cash Bar opens at 3 PM serving all your favorite beverages as well as $3 beers and $6 drink specials
Starting at 5 PM The Pier will also have "All you can eat Hot Dogs & Chili" at a flat price of $8 for Adults and $4 for children
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8
Noon at the Recreation Area
Horseshoe Tournament
Sign up for the tournament no later than 11:30 AM on Saturday - Look for Jay "La Bella Vita" or Bob "Hooked Up"
FOWH Merchandise will be available for purchase during the tournament
Columbus Day Buffet Dinner Gathering (5 PM - Midnight)
Adults $25, Children under twelve $10, Infants and Toddlers - Free
Buffet Dinner including Chicken, Pasta, Sausage, Fish and much more + Baker Bob's Dessert Cakes
Cash Bar opens at 3 PM serving all your favorite beverages as well as $3 beers and $6 drink specials
DJ Music by DJ Tony from 5 to 10:30 PM - dance, sing and enjoy the music
Each guest receives a free ticket - look for donated baskets and other products
Gene Cella, Auctioneer, will auction a Raymarine VHF Radio
After Dinner Party (6:30 PM - Midnight)
Adults $10, No charge for Children, Infants and Toddlers
If the 5 PM Buffet Dinner Gathering doesn't work for you, join us at the After Dinner Party to enjoy Baker Bob's great Dessert Cakes and DJ Tony's music until 10:30 PM
Each guest receives a free ticket - look for donated baskets and other products
Log onto our website www.friendsofwatchhill.org and click on Credit Card Payments to pay for the adults and children in your group who will attend the Columbus Day Buffet Dinner Gathering or the After Dinner Party. You will have to log out after paying for the adults and log back in to pay for children i.e., one transaction at a time. Then email friendsofwatchhill at yahoo.com with your boat name, length and beam and 120/240 Volt requirements. FOWH will then pre-reserve a boat slip for members who pay for attendance at either the buffet dinner gathering or after dinner party. Advance reservations may not be made for Friday or Saturday only. This is a two-night advance reservation. Slips not taken by midnight Friday will be released for assignment to other boaters. Payment for this event cannot be taken at the door. FOWH is taking payments by credit card on our website now through October 2nd. For credit cards to process properly you must log onto the website using www.friendsofwatchhill.org. You will receive an error page if you do not log on with three w's.
Please note attendance at these functions and advance group boat slip reservations are for members only. If you would like to make an advance reservation for your boat, you will have to renew your membership if you haven't already done so or enroll as a new member now. As mentioned above, for your credit card to process, you must log on using www.friendsofwatchhill.org. Also, after renewing or enrolling you will have to log out and then log back in again to pay for the event.
Special Late Night Ferry (11 PM on Saturday)
If you don't have boat transportation, take the scheduled ferry from Patchogue to Watch Hill and take advantage of the 11 PM Special Ferry from Watch Hill back to Patchogue
For planning purposes, it would be helpful to know how many guests plan to use the special ferry. Please take a minute to email us friendsofwatchhill at yahoo.com if you are going to use the 11 PM ferry.

FOWH Breakfast Meeting at The Pier Restaurant
Begins at 11 AM on Sunday
Enjoy complimentary (free) Coffee, Tea and Breakfast Cakes
