No. How was Sailors?
Weather wasn't as bad as they said.
May go somewhere this weekend, either Atlantique or Snapper.

Sailors was great except for Friday which rained all day. Thursday, Saturday and Sunday were mint. Plenty of slips for large and small boats.

For Sunday it is a $1.00 per foot so we stayed most of the day.

Joe, thanks for keeping the barn fire alive, that was a lot of fun.

Staying local this weekend, the next Friday 10/7 we are heading to WH.

Ok thanks, Sailors had 2.7 below my boat by the two poles at the entrance. I hate that feeling. :(

Weathers changing our plans . What would have been a great long weekend is going to crap as usual.

I guess we will see what rain we do and dont get .

May not be to far behind ya! I cant weather much more of this douche bag President and his spend on my dime practices.

Another year like this and ****s really going to be bad around here.

My job I can go work in any state.
I go to florida and it's an immediate increase due to no state tax.
12 month boating.
Yes its hot but that is what A/C is for!

This time next year.........we'll be in our new place in Florida.....enjoying our first snow free winter........then we're out of there in May thru September.

We can't wait !!!! :)

With the weekend a week away, I'm faced with the usual question of running inside and dealing with the bridges or running outside to FI inlet and timing for high tide.

Anyone been through FI inlet since the hurricane?

Definately check the recent notice to mariners as there was alot of bridge info and the work going on.
I know nothing about the inlet, have not been thru this year at all!

Mark, I haven't been through the inlet since early August. I've been asking around and checking the local forums to see if any issues after Irene but I haven't seen anything to indicate it's any worse then before. I've been planning to get out every weekend for offshore fishing but we've had a month of rough weekends again... I would try to time it to arrive close to high tide on the incoming, when I went through then in August I had plenty of water and conditions were good.

Went to watch hill tonight, three hours before low tide. Never saw less than 5.5' down the middle of the channel.

The forcast looks to be great for the weekend, and FOWH are no longer taking reservations. But I would guess there is still room for mid-smaller boats. But not for the FOWH Buffet.

There is a just the raffle ticket/after dinner ticket that doesn't include dinner but includes the party afterwards. May be able to get in on that. I hope to be there Friday morning and work from there.

Hope this weather report holds, looking like a awesome weekend!

I should be there around 11am.

Looking forward to a great weekend.

I will bring my camera!

Oh and Ginny is coming over on 6:30 ferry so try not to block the entrance!

Thx!

What time is dead low ? I never looked at tides in the GSB, we are always at low. LOL..

Came home Sunday from watch hill at almost low tide. Never saw less than 4.5 ' in the middle of channel. Hope you all have a blast at watch hill this coming Columbus Day weekend.

High at Patchogue is at 8:26am low at 3:12pm.

I never used to worry about tides either but with the condition of FI inlet and the postings on WH, I get concerned drawing 4'4".
