Who is going? I'm planning to get there Thursday evening. So far the forecast looks pretty good.

John

I will be there Thursday night. I land around 7pm, should be at boat and pulling out around 830. Be there around 930 or 10.

Anyone know what time dockmaster opens?

My plan is to be there sometime on Thursday. Right now, I am considering leaving East Rockaway early if I can't call for a reservation before 11am. If I leave at 9am I could be there by 11:30 anyway.

If someone makes the run, plese post if the fish traps are out east of RM bridge in the North Channel.
Those things are usually out this time of year and sometimes they are in or near the channel.
Last thing I need is to snag one of those!

They were out last week, but did not see any this week. I bet they will be there.

I am heading out on Saturday in the PM to Watch Hill. Ya ya, I know Dave, I won't get in.... Oh well, I know I will get in someplace. We never had issues in 6 years getting into Atlantique during Memorial Weekend, mid-late June though mid-September is another story. I would go after the YC ceremonies; last year was the busiest of all the other years but still got a good slip on the east wall.

Would someone mind e-mailing me their cell # so I can call to get the scoop ? I will be tied up on Saturday morning that I can’t sit and redial a 100 times for a reservation.

Brad

Brad, You got Mail!

Call me, maybe I can pull strings with Dockmaster. You can have my slip Sunday morning, I may head over to the Blue Angel show on Sunday.

Why don't you just go to Zach's and get a goos spot, anchor, and stay their Saturday night, then on Sunday we will come raft up and spend the night there?

Brad...Im leaving saturday at noon... as dave said u can have my slip... Ill pay for the day... and rope it off IF I GET IN ....

Ull just OWE ME ,, lol....

Rob

Dave,

Zachs is thought, I have never spent the night there, I’ll check in with the Admiral. We went there for a couple of hours a few years back for the Air Show, but it was so crazy we left. We love raft-ups but usually do the overnighters a little later in the season, especially when we can’t get into local places.

I am just going to wing it for a WH slip. I am taking off work Tuesday for my B-Day so I might consider just heading out on Sunday. I will give you a call around 1:00 or so on Saturday. Mark also gave me his number so I hopefully can get the lowdown on slips without going though the office.

Neek week 5/31 is our club trip to WH, but now I found out one of the PS are going.

Our fleet captain Joe, Doral-310 will need to pull some strings to get us all in...

So Joe start working on it, that is an order from the Rear Commodore..... ;)

I am on RadioWave's schedule as I plan on heading out there from Zach's after the airshow on Saturday.

Hopefully I'll (get in and) bump into you guys there this weekend.

LOL. Ok, I'll watch my mouth but you haven't seen me dock on a windy day at WatchHill :)

If you guys can't get in, you can always just go into day slips.
Not as good as overnight slips, but at least your not on the hook.

Brad,

I sent you my cel number. Let me know if you didn't get it.

Dave.... Mark, Myself... and anyone else of any GERTH.... will not fit in a day slip......

Thats been an on going issue ...

Rob, Last year a I noticed a new slip type over in the day section... It is called a "V" slip.

Mark I did get your cell, thanks.

Go into the pumpout slip. It will be easy to pump out but you will smell spooge the whole weekend!!!!

Brad I used the V slip on a dock last year when i came in at nite....

NOT recommended...

Thursday Marine forecast calls for W winds 10-15 with gusts to 20 knts and seas 2-3 ft. If that holds, I plan to run outside from East Rockaway inlet to Fire Island inlet.

If sea conditions are worse than that, I will make the trip inside. Looking at my charts, it seems that other than some detours around low fixed bridges (thank you Robert Moses) it is fairly straight forward.

Anything I need to know if I wind up inside?
