What's with the wind?
Every day has been strong winds.
Even was cold down here.
On boat all weekend and wind just blows and blow

We have had some ripping winds down here near Atlantic City as well Dave. 2 other couples went out to dinner with us last night and the wind chill made it feel like late fall. We haven't needed any AC here all weekend. Even during the day we had sustained 20 to 25 knot winds.

Same here, we are not in the marina rather then in Bowline and it was windy all night, you can here the water splashing on the boat all night.

Was down in freeport for dinner last and it was cold sitting outside

It is whipping down here in Long Beach and the ocean is not looking too friendly.

Breezy up here on the North Shore but not what I'd call really windy. Lots of sailboats out yesterday.

I've been doing a lot of LED changeovers in gas station canopy lights. I'm up in a bucket all the time. It seems like it had been windier than usual since February, almost every day.

What a difference on the North Shore. We have been anchored out and swimming in the sound for the weekend. So much nicer than the South Shore.

Did you guys ever notice that the guys that go out when the wind is blowing are generally the guys that should not go out when the wind is blowing?

Because the guys who stay at the dock have been there done that.

Hey I resemble that remark (lately at least)!

Saturday I took a ride past the bridge just to run the boat and had to give it a good cleaning when I got back as I had salt spray up to the flybridge.

Sunday I drove my car to Robert Moses to meet friends having a BBQ and when I got home I had to give my car a good cleaning because it had salt spray on it just from being in the parking lot at the beach!

I washed both cars Sunday as they were both very salted from spending the weekend by boat.

Windy up on the Hudson too. Watched bumper boats at the marina today.

It wasn't windy at Pennybridge, no bumper boats, either

Now I don't want to infect the LICC forum with the Hudson banter but I feel compelled to answer this. The wind is way worse over there. You just can't tell because boats don't get blow around when they are dragging along the bottom.

Jeff - not pointed at you. On Sunday, we watched at least 4 new baoters take their boats out and then come back pretty quickly. Unfortunately their return was not pretty with quite a bit of anchor to fiberglass action. One guy with a 390 kept trying to dock with the wind, rather than backing into the wind - Fortunately he did not hit anyone. I wanted to jump on one of the boats and help, but with a single I/O, i probably would have done worse than the new boater - Been there, done that!
