The burled wood looking dash surround on my 95 is slowly fading in the sun. Does anyone know how and if it is restorable, without polishing off the Sundancer logo? Anyone know where to obtain replacements?

Scott's panels are beautiful - I have once of his first sets fro the 330 DA. I haven't installed them yet. I also got all new switches and actuators. Switches averaged just under $8 each, actuators about $2 each.

I just talked with the guy and for my 97 330 dancer he wanted 350 + 15 for shipping. With the choice of moving things around our customizing the writing I really need to think about that.

Fantastic information. Scott called within an hour of me leaving a message. His pricing is extremely reasonable, especially since I have to do only one guage panel. Best of all he can get me replacement actuators and lights for my switches and make me a custom panel that matches everything else for my underwater lights!

I saved enough money with this one contact, I'm upgrading my membership. Thanks again, Double D!!

Hey Bob, I just read your post, I wish I could do them for less but the material itself is very expensive, but it is also the best..Searay was chargeing 200 more for one plate then I charge for both...and they used the wrong stuff which is why they are all a mess now. You can't put the "foil" (burl graphics) on the front of the panel, the sun destroys it, my panels have a .060" layer of clear impact formed UV stable acrylic over the top, and I laminate a 1/8" think piece of transparent white UV stable acrylic ont he back, so the "foil" is sealed in the panel. I assure you it is well worth it, I would not even bother if I thought they were not right . If you have any other questions, just let me know, I will be more then happy to answer them.

I'll pimp for Scott. They are very well done! JS

Scott did the panels for my '95 330 and I finished intalling them this weekend. Scott does good work. It is a tedious project with all the details and wiring, but the panels look great.

I learned a few tricks. #1 make a wiring diagram of every guage and switch. I tried taking pics, but that didn't work. It does not take much time to do. It doesn't have to be pretty, just so you know where the purple #7 wire goes. I also uses wire ties and bundled the wires for each guage/switch. This made re-assembly much easier. And don't loose any parts. When I reassembled things, the port engine wouldn't start <tripped the breaker>. The problem was a lost lock washer had wedged itself between two studs on the port tach causing the short. And it was hiding up a bunch if wire. It took a little bit if time to resolve that one.

I've heard the the switch covers on these switches can be changed out <I have 2 that look bad>, but I could not figure out how to get them off, or where to get new ones. Anyone know?

Thanks for all the support guys, I have had many calls that originated from this thread Boaters ed uis a great site!

Excellent! Do you have his email?

Ramsport: Actuators are the levers you flip up and down on your switches, they are the top of your switches basically, Searay switches are built in two pieces, the body where the wires plug in and the actuator whcih your finger touches when you turn on the switch. I can get just the actuators if the switches are still good and it saves you guys money while still getting the brand new look of the switch.
