Any barrier beach reports??

are there any reports of the barrier beaches??
 
I was curious about Watch Hill and Fire Island in general. They were mandatory evac I think and according to some predictions it was supposed to be washed over. Here's hoping it wasn't too bad out there as well.
 
Heard a news report today tbat said there were several breaches on FI, one was substantial and will probabaly be a new inlet.
They didn't give a location though.
 
I heard one of the breaches was at Kismet but don't know if that will be the new inlet.

Fresher water in the bay if it stays.

Never the same.
Kismet gone.
Atlantique around 13:00 is destroyed, I just was there last weekend with some friends and had a great time.
That trip will forever be etched in my mind as it was the last night I spent on my boat!
Unreal!
I am in utter shock.
Oak Beach, captree island, just all wiped off.

Dave, we know someone who has a place on Oak Island......was everything destroyed there?

there are helicopter and on foot vids.

damage is severe. Also a couple of breaches. One just east of Moriches Inlet...
 
As a kid I spent summers in Ocean Beach, FI....heartbreaking to see all the familiar places under water. Still waiting to find out about my cousin's place on the dunes.
 
Perry, as long as the link isn't promoting a business that competes with boatfix, I think you're okay. Besides, I think most of us would want to see whats going on over there. Just my .02.

Looks like watch hill is under water by nature path.
Davis park docks are gone.
I think watch hill the piers are gone too, AB and CD, unless they are still under water.

Very ugly!
 
Yes, we made it through OK. The Boat stayed in the water and seemed to have come out fine.

So sad to see all the damage to homes, marina's and boats.

How did you guys make out?
