Any barrier beach reports??

Barbara, we did pass Oak Island but didn't go around the other side. The house closest to the channel had a lot of dock damage but was otherwise standing. From a distance we didn't see any houses there that appeared to have major exterior damage but hard to tell since we didn't look at the houses close up. My street would look normal now if it wasn't for the contents of everyone's first floor being out on the street...

Joe thanks for the pictures. Looks like the first section of dunes is gone but otherwise not much has changed. Hard to tell too much from that distance but the FOWH email said damage was minor.

BTW, given the erosion issues at some of the beaches I think this is a good reason to dredge FI Inlet, they are going to need the sand :)
 
think 2X about the 420. Several friends have them and they are difficult to board from the side and have a cut up salon layout. Nothing at all wrong with them from a reliability standpoint other than cored hull. They are wake makers because of the tunnels and just awkward to live on. My friend just cant understand how my Carver is so much more boat in the same size. As is common with SR they have a long pointy bow that adds bragging rights but not interior space.
 
In Long Beach they have dozed alot of sand and are running it through sifters to put it back on the beach.

Hoping they get more efficient with collecting the garbage and junk on the curb.
 
It's actually the 440 which is same as 420. I like 450 but it's too pricey. It's very similar to my regal. I like it. I could go back to the real. Saw a diesel on in black.
At this point I think the bowrider is best idea until places recover.
 
Anyone know about the squatter's shanties on the marsh Islands? If they're gone, that's it for them.
