List of issues and I will need some answers from BE friends!
1) Fuel gauges did not match Volvo EVC system. We were getting some odd readings. I think the EVC system since it is just computer controlled from motors and tank guages are 2 seperate technologies and therefore need to be calibrated somehow. I need to read manual. Either way, if something is bad on motors, it will be a warranty item. If fuel tank sensors, then I don't really care. As long as one or the other works properly.
2) Boat came from fresh water lake. Lake Norman. Very high mineral content. So water splashing up on flexiteek platform has left white stains. You can see in one of the pics. I rub it hard and the white came off, so I am guessing it just needs to be cleaned and maybe sanded and sealed. Not sure. Worst case, I replace just that part.
3) Not sure I like canvas on back, so that my go or just get rolled up.
4) We had a leak on genny muffler, no big deal. Was a lose clamp!
5) Found 1 stress crack, hidden under engine hatch. No big deal.
That is it!
Boat is in mint condition.
The motors ran like a charm.
The IPS is unreal.
I was able to dock no issues and you can feel the control.
Can make the bow, stern, side, go anywhere I want.
I spent alot of time going sideways and doing donuts because I can and it was fun!
Amazing control. The boost feature works nice too as it gives alot more power.
Coming down a fairway you can use joystick or shifters.
Engaging shifters immediately dis-engages joystick.
Engaging joystick locks steering wheel.
Night and day compared to my gas boat.
Fuel burn is much less.
Slower takeoff and plane but its deliberate as the diesels delay power up since the torque is so great.
Top end was 3500 rpm and about 33mph
Cruise at 3100 rpm was 27mph with 22gph.
Boat likes to run and you can feel it.
Ride is much more level than old boat due to the IPS pulling boat thru as opposed to shaft pushing it up and out.
Steering is amazing. I can turn the wheel with my pinky! Old boat needed a solid grip.
Noise level is incredible. You can actually talk! Motors are so quiet and all exhaust is thru IPS.
You do get alot fo vibration at idle, but everyone I talk to says for diesels that is normal.
Once in gear and running it goes away.
Also you can feel the exhaust under foot in cockpit as it bubbles up from the IPS.
Boat has autopilot, radar, gps, engine room heaters, 2 backup cameras, underwater lights, blue leds and the usual 4080 features.
I spent 2 hours running around the lake because the lift was not ready for us, so I just did everything I could in that time.
It's my boat plus! I do need a new name.
If you recall:
First boat 24 searay from a banker name CurrentSea
Traded that in for a 34 cruiser yachts and called it CurrentSea Exchange
Then got the 40' Regal and it was "No CurrentSea Left"
So now I am thinking, "CurrentSea Conversion" or "CurrentSea is back" or "More CurrentSea". or "Insurance CurrentSea" or "Return of CurrentSea"
Gotta see, has to pass the admiral sniff!
So besides closing the deal, I need to transport and I am working on that.
Boat is being winterized down there, wrapped and prepped for transport.
If anyone is looking for a boat, I can turn you onto this dealer.

I did down size. I went from 2 big block gassers to 2 small diesels. Lol

No nuts on this boat like old boat.
But I ran it around good and no issues.
Will have it fully inspected after transport.
