HM

Mike HM conducted a welcome to the new season party 2 weeks ago at the Hudson Water club and Blessing of the Fleet this past weekend with breakfast. It was very nice as our boat was blessed with holy water as we passed by the new fuel dock.

Mike,
The way I understand it, you can only be at HM to smoke the electric cigars

Don't forget to mention its free to the members just like our parties are. Hank, I like my marina. :D

I love threads like this:)
The best thing I see here is everyone is happy frankly that's all that matters.

I'm surprised you didn't get hit by lightning

I'm looking forward to this weekend! I heard a rumor the Bill may make a guest appearance on Saturday I'm hoping this happens I would really like him to have a chance to see his new boat! I plan to spend as much time as possible on board this weekend and at least one night if not two at Bowline.

I dont think they are happy at all in their marinas. They are just saying that because there are no more bigger slips left in Haverstraw for them to move into.

Im very Happy with my marina, the money I saved between slip fee and not paying for my swim platform and anchor, electric and internet I was able to fill my fuel tank. [:-jump]

Perhaps I will burn some of that fuel this weekend but no over nighting. New pup and things going on at marina (We are having drinks at marina) will keep us at the dock nights. Perhaps we will due some grilling on that new grill we have.

All in alll we due hope to see alll you out there bringing in the season as we always due. Let the weather be good and the times be better!

Butch, you forget to mention the money you save by not having to rent your dock box from the marina.

You should all pool that money and invest in a pool or some dredging, or a restaurant, or a beach or a 750 spot parking lot....

With all the money we save, we could do all of that, and more!

Can I have a few of those dollars for a longer finger at my dock? ;)

Too bad you all don't pay for dock size rather then boat size. Then you would really save a fortune.

Mike, but can you get in and out at dead low moon tide ????????????

No I can't - I can't even come and go at regular low tide. (That's what we have Giggity for) But like you did for years, I put up with that inconvienience because I'm very happy with where I am.

To me, having the owners who know you by name, on premises, having great mechanics who will work on my boat on a moment's notice, having a short walk to my slip, having a great group of friends around me, having a beach where the dog can swim, having BBQ's 100' from my boat, being able to park 100' from my boat, having a secure, fenced lot and paying 1/3 less than at Haverstaw make it all worthwhile.

Besides, now when we go to Bowline, I'll say I can't get out until you are all anchored, then I'll just pull up and raft-up. No more anchoring for me!!!

On another note, I went to to the 3 Stony Point marinas today. Patsy's has 5 boats at their docks, SPBM has about 20, and Pennybridge has about 40.
