Admittedly I haven't logged on recently, but was saddened to hear the news about our great GTBC, Les Hall. Lifting up prayers for Elaine and the rest of his family especially during the holidays. God Bless you and your family, Les - you made us all better boaters!
I've been awol for several years now and just checked the forum last night. Like a premonition... because I had a feeling something had changed.
Les was truly a great person.
Nor did I know about George. He helped me with advice on switching out exhaust manifolds over the phone. They are missed.
Sad news indeed.
I stopped by to see Les' admiral last night and printed out this thread for her to read...she asked me to pass on her thanks to all for the thoughts and prayers and for sharing memories of our fearless Grumpy Tow Boat Captain.
She also asked me to pass along her thanks to everyone involved in keeping the site active, it means a lot to her.
