Splash dates

I would have normally pulled the shrink and prepped the bottom at this point I did even have a clue when I will start at this point. Close to two feet of snow yesterday it's going to be a while before I can work on my boat!

I'm glad it doesn't seem anybody unwrapped based on my premature (and WRONG!!!) encouragement in this thread. Cold here, at least for us and mid-March, 30's and windy, forecast to be upper 20's around here tomorrow. Clear and pretty, though...

We were on a cruise to the Caribbean for 10 days. On our day at St. Maarten we went sailing, as passengers, on a four-mast sailing ship. The weather was perfect - sunny, with a strong breeze and a slight chop. I longed for getting our boat in the water. I told my wife I was going to start the preparations when we got home. She laughed. We dissenbarked at Fort Lauderdale on Monday, planning to fly home that evening. Wrong!!!! We didn't leave Florida till Wednesday, flying out of Palm Beach airport to JFK instead of Fort Lauderdale airport to Westchester airport, as originally planned. It seems there had been a strong snow storm up north, as you all know. Spring preparations are put off for a few weeks. It's just too cold and unpredictable. Stay warm, all. Hy

I'm staying wrapped up until at least April

was going to unwrap this weekend. Snow yesterday in Norfolk--still wrapped.

Once we get some warm weather, wrap is off, hull waxed, bottom painted and zincs attached. New owner looking to close April 27th.

You're selling?

Actually sold, but not sure if I will follow through. I think I will, have two boats to look at. Will know soon.

It looks like the weather isn't getting better yet so cover will stay on until it does. One sure sign of boating season is Marine Mate's open house this weekend.

Cover off this weekend.
Paint bottom and pods
Looking for a 4/22 launch
AYC water on 4/15 - wash and wax that week.

Oh, did I mention only part of above I do is take the cover off! LOL

Botton sanded cover off canvas up. I was hoping to have the yard wax the boat but they told me today they don't have anyone to do it. Now I'm second guessing my decision to have pulled the cover being I'm heading out of town. Not sure when i will get in the water this year.

Went up to Ct. today to visit my boat. Wind, cold and rain didn't feel much like boating season is near. Target date for delivery is 4/21. Hope the weather gets more Spring-like by then or it's going to be a long cold ride home.

Looks like the delivery date is holding firm on 4/21. Target date to bring her home is 4/23 if the weather is good. Hope there's some buoys in by then.
