This weekend

I was thinking the same thing the other day and wondered if the price of fuel kept people away.

For me, boating and the water is in my blood. I grew up on a boat, and have been on a boat all my life. During the winter, I still take trips down to the marina to get the "feeling"

Sandy didnt scare me one bit about having a boat. After seeing Sandy, Ive learned NOT to haul a boat, (unless its on a trailer and can be moved north). The price of fuel doesnt bother me, to me, its money well spent. If you need to worry about how much gas is, then you shouldnt be on the water.

Boating is a hobby, a way of life. Gas on the water could be 15 dollars a gallon, and I would still use the boat. Im like a heroin addict, I gotta get my fix..

Well there are 5 more boats that are not in their slips on Sat and Sun, as we are anchored in Croton.

Looks like the marina is filling back up again! We had a great week but its good to be back home. I think is time to go out to dinner yet again:)

Croton was the most crowded I have seen it all summer. The weather was perfect and we had a fantastic time on the hook.

Saw you guys anchored Saturday night. I was going to stop by and say hello but your stern anchors were stretched out (low tide) plus some douche bag pissed me off. With my 14yr old girl at the helm and another 9yr old, as we were going through the anchorage at idle speed on our 17' CC, a group from Jersey must not have liked us. One fat lady gave us the "shoo" sign and then her bald friend yelled at us to turn our lights on.

What gives people the right to give unsolicited advice? With the kids on board, I chose to just shrug my shoulders and give him the "WTF" look...kept my mouth shut.

Other than that it was a great weekend. Was at the point Saturday with the big boat all day. As HOGAN said, it was super crowded so we went with the little boat on Sunday. Then we hit the boat house for dinner...yum yum!

WALSHIE if you are out this Saturday join us for a BBQ in bowline. I am organizing and taking care of the food, $20 a boat (approximately). Let me know if you will join.

Thanks for the invite Allen but I have plans Saturday. Picking up my baby girl from the airport, she's beein in Ireland with Grandma for two weeks. Maybe some other time.
