Walter,

Sorry you and Denise will not be out there this weekend.

Walt,
Can u come out by ferry ?

Lets hope it was tide, current thing when i dredged the channel to Watch Hill. I was not amused one bit.

Rob

The cast is a bitch Rob, can't really move around.

Thanks Mark

A friend of mine with a 340da is planning on going Saturday am. Do you know how full it will be? Does he have a shot at getting a slip for the weekend?

I may try to head over Saturday night, assuming there are any slips available on D dock.

D Dock is probably full and sold out since advance reservations were taken and weather is suppose to be gorgeous. Drop me a email or call and I can give you a scout report.

Hey guys, have a great time, won't be making it this year. Can't ask for a better forecast in October! I didn't reserve a slip this year because I knew I couldn't take off work today and as it turns out ended up a perfect forecast for offshore fishing this weekend which hasn't happened in a long time so worked out good. Didn't make it to Watch Hill all season for the first time in probably 15 years, although that was mostly because I had my boat in Montauk for 3 months. Next year I'll have to make some time for Watch Hill.

What a great weekend!

Great ride there. Great weekend. Great ride home.

Can't ask for more.

FYI Came home via FI inlet. I can see where in nasty seas it would be tough. Today was calm and we went through at mid-tide. Never saw less than 8' under the boat.

Bigger problem was the fishing blockade in the channel but that's another rant for another day.:)

Mark, I went through the inlet Saturday and Sunday and it's very different than it was before Irene. They moved the buoys well to the east of where they were and it's a lot better. I never saw less than 11' at mid-tide and it's pretty well marked. And with it more to the east it's not in the middle of the bass fishing fleet :) Probably still won't be too nice on a rough day with an outgoing tide but a lot better than last November when I was going out and churning up sand at low tide.
