Marinas

Congratulations for taking the title from us- we were the FNG's last season as we came to c dock late in July. Welcome to the coveted title

Larry and Debbie are certainly glad to give that title up. We had it 3 years ago. This is our 4th season at SCYR. We were in C-4 and are now going to C-54.We are also from Jersey (Franklinville)and have 3 boys ages 10,8 and 7. We love it there and we do alot of group raft ups especially out at $1.98 beach. The kids love it and the adult do too. My job for the year is to order the "C" dock sweatshirts Ordering will begin in April so we will keep you posted. There are now lots of kids on C-dock and it works out great. We are in our early 40's but age is not important on C dock. It's what kind of vodka you drink that does.So welcome to C-dock.........Kathie Triple Trouble

Just out of curiousity...what are the range of dock fees in the Maryland area. In western Illinois/Iowa Mississippi river our slip(40x14) is around $1400 plus electrical. Weird coincidence...we are on "C" dock at our marina and it is known as the party/fun dock.

Thank you Kathie,
Sounds great. Our boys are 7 and 3 1/2 and we have a baby girl that is 8 months now... Hands full we know. We were worried about the kids on the dock but im sure everything will be fine.
BTW we drink Grey Goose or Belvidere.
ps... What do the shirts say?

Mumm24 In the Annapolis area a 40x14 would bring about $5500/yr. Maybe bagels and danish Sunday am at the marina office included!

Dang, life's good in your area. Rates are of course a bit higher in Annapolis, and the western side of the Chesapeake in general. We're just south of Baltimore at a private club also on the western side. But we're in line with the other marinas in our area. Our 42' slip costs us $3,600 (plus $1,000 in chits for the restaurant to eat & drink through throughout the year). The marina next door is $3,900 for a 40x16 slip.

How 'bout some pricing from folks on the eastern side of the bay? Rock Hall? Worton? Anybody there?

Hey Kathie!

Why the move? Are you going for the view up there or to get away from Chuck?;)

Just kidding. Have a great season.

Actually, I felt like my kids were under the microscope with the new dockmaster last year. There are more kids at the other end of the dock. It's really funny though because all of the kids love Chuck. Sue says all but hers. I wanted to say hi at the funeral, but you were across the room. The sweatshirts will say "C" Dock Yacht Club. That's the name we always go under when we make reservations anywhere. It will have a martini glass on it. Todd and Bridgette sold their boat, so we took their slip. Fran is not returning either. She is going to a new marina at Havre De Grace. I am so looking forward to warm weather.

Kathie, yea, all the kids love Chuck because... well, he just a big kid (with a glass of Absolut). I haven't met the new dockmaster. I'm sure you guys all miss Lance. He was great.
Hey, hope to see you all sometime this summer!

Yeah, I heard numerous complaints about the boys! :) Just kidding Kathi. Our end of C-dock is pretty quiet; Captain Sunshine is not going to like any noise down there.:) With Fran leaving, it will open up the view on the T-head. Who were Todd and Bridgette?

Well it looks like ill be all alone next week... Boat should be ready by the end of next week, replacing some eisenglass and a new name and we are in. Will I still be the fng if im one of the 1st in..lol
Maybe another new guy will come in and it may be the shortest duty for the NG yet..hehe

Todd and Bridgette were all the way down the end, obviously, where we are going. They had a little boy about 4 and a baby. They were hardly ever down this past season because of schedules so they decided to sell the boat. Captain Sunhine will be ready to leave C dock once he sees the invasion of the little people. Julian, you are the FNG for the whole season, even if there are other FNG's. Everyone holds that title for at least one season. And if you are the first guy in, you can check to see that C dock is in good shape with everything wiped and cleaned and ready......for Chuck. He is a riot!! I'm sure he'll be the first person you meet. His title is FRB given to him by his wife so you can ask him when you meet him.

Yea, and ask Chuck if he's ready to have his toe nails done yet! ;)

I was worried about marinas and certain docks being clicky....What did I get my self into???

I really hate that stuff...I really hope people dont get on my nerves...lol
Im there to relax and it seems like a f ing soap opera and I have only been ther 1 time. I really hope this place ok for us...Figures I already sent in all my $$$

Julian,

I apologize if you've got the wrong impression.

The crew on "Lower C" are a close knit but not a closed group. They've been there for years and enjoy each other's company... and the are always bustin' on each other. They'll be open to you, quick to help you when needed and very friendly.... but they won't be busy-bodies. It really is a great place with a real cast of characters and I think your slip is in a great location.

Yeah, what Mike said. Although we will have to vote to see if you fit in with the "click".
ha ha :)

Well Graig,
Dont bother with the vote... I dont want in with the highschool stuff. Wasnt into them then and for sure arent into them now.
I am SO regreting my decision right now...
