Welcome Greg and Dan, looking forward to meeting in a few weeks.

Al, could you bring the shortcut to your web site to this page? It might be easier to access....
I tried, but it didn't work very well.
Thanks

Welcome aboard, Dan, Tina and Greg. Great to have you all aboard. Dan, I'll be on the boat Saturday with a mechanic friend working the remaining exhaust manifold nuts...probably late AM. If it goes well, there's still a chance I can get FlyWright right again be the Spring Fling.

Here's the link to the Spring Fling Signup Document.

The signon email and password are in bold at the top of the page.

Pick something that's not listed that you'd like to share (salad, mac-n-cheese, appetizers, dessert, BEER!!) and sign up. There are no wrong answers, but extra credit will be given for neatness and creativity.

I'm counting the days!

Dan, Sorry I missed you this weekend. I was there, but we got the manifold off within about an hour and were out off there before noon. Now I'm looking for ways to repair/replace the manifold. Could take a while...

Al,

How did you finally get the manifold off? Is is cracked, warped or what? Any other damages? You're going to have to get FlyWright down to Village West; diesel is still only $1.98 I know I'm going to fill up. :-)

After another week of soaking the two remaining frozen nuts, a mechanic friend was able to remove them with considerable effort and ingenuity. He took the manifold home to continue working on it in his shop and got it all apart on Sunday. He called to tell me that the aft end of the manifold near the flange is so badly rusted that one of the 4 studs came loose. I also have to get a flange fabricated since they are not available any longer. And since it appears I have a similar problem beginning on the port side, I'll have two made. Probably not a huge hurdle, but it is a speed bump in the process.

I haven't seen the manifold apart yet but will see it Thurs when I return home from a trip. I will look into repairs to the manifold since the price for a new one is north of $1800. Am also checking for used and other new parts sources.

I agree that I need some of that cheap diesel. I hope it stays low long enough for me to fill up cheaply.

Sorry for the thread hijack...

Starting the count down, ten more days. I guess Jim is really excited about going, he's signed up twice, LOL. Think sunny and 75 deg.

rubyray, I'd like to suggest that we get an idea of who is bringing what for the Friday night potluck. Perhaps a column could be added to the spreadsheet and everyone could update it?

I'll take sun, even if it isn't 75 degrees!!!!! Winds shouldn't be too bad near Stockton......

FB, I think it's there already. Below is a cut and paste from the signup sheet. Is this what you're looking for?

For the record, I'd like my boat to be upwind of GrAttitude's one gallon of beans. ;-)
