I don't think anyone has committed to a dinner time for Sat evening. How about if we shoot for 6PM? Any objections? I don't know if reservations are recommended or required.

6:00 sounds like a perfect time. Somebody should give Garlic Bros a heads up- it sounds like a good sized group. Somebody said I was on there twice, but tere is only one of me and my brother and we are doing dinner. I will check the list and see about what the head count is and call Garlic Bros and give them an approx head count, for 6:00, letting them know it could change in count or time by a little.
Kinda corney thought, but does anybody have any of those "Hello, my name is" stickers for the memory impared - I don't want to be calling Liz "yzer" all weekend... I have a pen.
It was pretty windy all afternoon, 15-20 mph, came up about noon but died about 5:30 to dead calm - it is going to be a beautifull weekend.

The dinner list looks like about 15 people so I called them with that info, and said 6:00. If we need to we can change it during the day I am sure we can. They also said one check and 15% gratuity added - pretty reasonable. I would suggest bringing cash because of the single check, unless someone wants to put it on their business card and we can pay them! Check with Bill the tax guy to see if it qualifies as a business expense.

Glad to see you've found a ride. I am going to have to go into the office for a few minutes, but then I'm on my way to the boat solo. Have to wash her down and I'm ready to rock. If the time works out, maybe I'll tag along with you and GRattitude. If not, I know the way well and don't mind cruising alone. Hopefully the wind will die down for singlehanded docking. Yup ... it really is taking place. What a great day today (Saturday). Between 80-85 degrees & no wind. I was only able to spend the day there. Had about 14 folks + 2 dogs thru most of the day (most had been there since the Friday potluck), swelling to 21+, I think, by dinner.

We started to congregate at Village West Marina on Friday early afternoon. Comfortably Numb and dvan were already there when GRattitude and kalan2000 arrived onboard Greg's Sea Ray Sundancer 300. Flutterby floated by a short while later and AbsoLoot couldn't resist the $1.71 diesel, so he took on a few hundred gallons before sliding over to the overnight docks. AbsoLoot's friends Dave, Michelle and their daughter Nicole came by in their beautiful 38 Bayliner. Towcapt stopped by with his Vessel Assist RIB and took a couple groups of us slow-boaters out for a spin to show us what it's like to go fast enough to have to hold onto your hats.
By Friday evening, we had 14 boaters present. Potluck dinner was held dockside. Lots of food and lots of laughs. Comfortably Numb, located at the corner of the dock (the 32 Bayliner, not the guy), became the central point or the weekend's socializing and music. Comfortably Numb's tequila bar got a workout throughout the evening.
Saturday brought more ROs out of the woodwork. MisterBK, rubyray, yzer(Dan) and wife Debbie, Chaos (Steve) and Paul (Baitshatcher?) and their wives and etyppo came by for the festivities. Fellow boaters Dale and Teresa from Riverboat Marina and her sister and brother-in-law also stopped by after reading about AbsoLoot and Comfortably Numb being there on their Facebook pages. We peaked Saturday evening at 20 ROs (including SOs) and 7 future ROs just before dinner.
Bill Wells, Contributing Editor of Bay and Delta Yachtsman magazine came by early Saturday for a photo shoot of the weekend's activities. Since AbsoLoot and family were gone and couldn't be represented in the photo, we decided to commandeer their 48 Californian, Wanderlust, and got a picture with a good portion of the group on his bow. We were promised a spot in the magazine, but I doubt we were centerfold quality.
Saturday night's dinner at Garlic Brothers was good food and a great time. It was great to finally meet so many ROs who I've only known 'digitally' over the years. Putting faces and personalities to screen names was a fun and memorable experience. I'm sure we'll be doing it again in the not-so-distant future. Special thanks to GRattitude for the ride on Friday and to Comfortably Numb for inviting me aboard for the overnight stay. Without you guys, my time there would have been much shorter and not nearly as much fun. Thanks all for the great weekend!!

sorry i did not make dinner, after i cut my finger i had trouble with stopping the cut from bleeding
i went to the car, sat for ahile, then decided it better to head home
i also had more taxes to do today.

What a fantastic weekend. Just got home, not to far for us. It was getting quit breezy (no, down right windy)out there when we pulled out, I hope all the others made the trip home alright.

What a great weekend! It was fun to meet everyone and finally put some faces with the names. We had a wonderfull time - a bid rough heading home, but not too bad. It is blowing about 35 here at Oxbow so I am in an easyily-accesable guest dock until the wind dies. Guess I will just have to spend anothe night...
